今学期は3人の大学生が実験室の作業を手伝ってくれています。
大学院を目指す皆さん、とてもみんな意識高く、日々勉強と頑張っていまーす。２人は医者の道へ、１人は理学療法士と人気のある仕事です。
自己紹介を載せています。
Here are three of my excellent undergraduate research assistants who contributes to the lab and my research work since September 2017.
Here they are!
ジュリエンはモーリシャス共和国で生まれ、フランスに移り住みました。
小さい頃にラスベガスへ移住し、あらゆる高校で勉強した後、ネバダ大学リノ校で生物化学と分子生物学を２年間勉強しました。
現在は、ネバダ大学ラスベガス校で運動学を専攻し、理学療法士になることを望んでいます。
Julien Mihy has not been in Las Vegas his whole life. He was born on Mauritius Island and lived in France for his first few years of life. While still a young child, his parent’s brought him to Las Vegas. From there he attended a variety of public and private schools in Las Vegas until attending the University of Reno, Nevada for two years as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student.
Now, he attends UNLV as a Kinesiology major in hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist.
エイカナは、アメリカのグアム諸島で生まれ、オレゴン州、ネバダ州と生活の拠点を移してきました。
現在は、医学部のあるオレゴン健康科学大学への入学を目指し、運動学と生物学を専攻しています。医学での分野の視野を広げる為、精神病院で看護師として働き始めています。
また、ヨガの教室で働き、大学の病棟でボランティアもしています。
Kana Ames was born on the island of Guam, but grew up in both Tigard, Oregon and in Las Vegas. To achieve her goal of attending medical school at Oregon Health & Science University, she is studying kinesiology with a minor in biology at UNLV.
To counterbalance her unconventional major for pre-med, she is working at a psychiatric facility, not only to obtain her clinical experience but also to gain insight into the medical field. Additionally, Kana spends her days working at a yoga studio and volunteering at University Medical Center.
マヒュー フォアマンは、生まれも育ちもラスベガス。彼は２年間ネバダ大学リノ校で生物学を学びました。現在は、ネバダ大学ラスベガス校で運動学と生物学の専攻しています。
彼は、医学の領域で活躍する事と研究活動を行うことが目標です。
Matthew Foreman was born and raised in Las Vegas. For his two years of college, he attended the University of Nevada, Reno for biology, where he also spent time as a peer health educator. He transferred to UNLV and began coursework towards earning a degree in kinesiology and a minor in biology.
He plans to become a professional in the medical field and to publish research. He is deeply interested in studying degenerative nerve disease and the clinical application of probiotics in medicine.

ひろ / 岩月 / Hiro
Emily Nawroth grew up in Woodland Hills California. After high school, she moved to Hutchinson, Kansas to play soccer for Hutchinson Community College and she was the sports editor and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Then, she came to UNLV to study kinesiology with hopes of one day becoming a physical therapist. She is currently the secretary for Lambda Kappa Delta Pre-Physical Therapy Honor Society and volunteer at Sunrise Children’s Hospital.
Luis Flores was born and raised in Lancaster, California. He attended Antelope Valley College before transferring to UNLV as an undergraduate in kinesiology. He is a member of the pre-physical therapy honor society at UNLV and has received two research grants from the IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence program for my work in the biomechanics lab. He is ready to present at the national conference of American College of Sports Medicine association in Boston, MA this summer.
